In this UNESCO-UNEVOC document a highly aggregated perspective is taken on the potential affects of Artificial Intelligence on TVET.
This report summarizes current knowledge about AI developments and keeps a quite general description of potentially required adaptations of TVET systems in the light of penetration by AI.Important facets of this topic are addressed and further elaborated. A recognition effect is immediately noticeable in the conclusions and recommendations: As with many new topics (e.g. Green TVET or Quality TVET), the answer from TVET is based on a top-down approach: The policy must be adapted as well as TVET management, TVET Trainers, Curricula and especially relationships with companies are to be intensified.
The contextual diversity of TVET (international) is noted, but the resulting vulnerability is not further elaborated. In summary, it can be said that it is an academic text that contains only a few impulses for concrete adaptation measures.
